Friendly, very clean, close to the Centre of Paris, shops and restaurants nearby.

Being an old hotel, the walls are a bit thin - and one of my neighbors seemed incapable of closing the door quietly! Another insisted on talking (loudly) on the stairwell on a mobile phone in the middle of the night - however "ssssshhh" works in any language! These are not the hotel's fault though - some travelers are just inconsiderate!

The location was nice. It's residential for sure as most other reviews mention. Lots of cute restaurants, shops and bakeries nearby. About 15 minutes by bus or train to most major attractions. We liked that we could easily grab a bus around the corner (the 53 bus is on Rue de Cardinet just down the steps from the hotel road/alley - you can take this to Paris Nord or the Opera for only 1.90 each way.) This is good to know because we took a cab from Paris Nord and it was like 17 euros and the cabby wasn't familiar with the 'street' the hotel is on. We should have just looked for the 53 bus and taken that. (The hotel is on more of an alley and thus not as familiar to most locals). It worked for the budget traveler who just wants to have a place to sleep. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful when we asked for directions, etc. Maid service replaced towels daily and made bed nicely.

It was very old, very small elevator. Strong ethnic food odors in lobby wafted throughout hotel. You have to leave your room key at reception every time you leave the hotel. The room itself is tiny, our safe didn't work. The doors all slam really loudly and the rooms are so close so it's very disturbing. The walls are also very thin. You hear everything. The carpet was dirty, you could see hairs in it. The shower was tiny and the shower curtain doesn't keep the water in well. There were no facial washcloths in any European hotels we stayed in, as in most American hotels, just hand towels and body towels, so bring a few if you're going to Europe. The bathroom floor is always soaked until the maid service comes. I purchased slippers at the nearby supermarket so I didn't have to walk on carpet. The comforter on the bed looked pretty old and dirty so we took it off right away as we usually do, as most hotels can't possibly wash comforters in each room.

I thought the hotel was great, dont have a bad word to say about it. Everyone said you can hear loads of noise. Noise of people moving about only starts at about 9am, I got up at that time anyway to get breakfast and go out. The room and hotel all together was clean and friendly. It also looks very nice from the outside. There are cafe's nearby for breakfast/dinner etc and are very nice.

I didnt like you had to pay extra for breakfast

I was very impressed with the staff who went out of their way to be helpful. I also liked the location as it was quiet even though it was in a city. I would certainly recommend it for a stay in Paris.

The hotel staff was really good and very supportive...the hotel is 10 minutes walk to Champs Elysee...it was clean....it is indeed value for your money...

the double bed room is not as big as one can expect.

romm and bathroom dirty, more a hostel than a hotel.

Staff is very friendly and speaking english. Good location. Room good for 2' but very smaal for 3 persons.

The staff was wonderful ... helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. The all seemed to know and love their city and went out of their way to help hotel guests get the most of their visit with suggestions, tips on metro and bus routes to get around efficiently so guests weren't wasting time getting to the museums, restaurants and the major sights.

    • Couple
      5.4

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff appeared vigilant about doing their job. It was good that they had free internet and the location did not look great on the map but it was not too bad actually with markets nearby and a supermarket less than 5 min walk away

I know Paris is expensive but we felt this was too small, overpriced.Room was the most expensive of our 6 week stay in western Europe. There was a desk & chair in the room but it was wedged between the wall and the bed so there was no chance any human could have sat in the chair at the desk to actually use it; totally wedged in with nowhere else in the small room you could have put it without having to literally climb over it. The bathroom was also very small, all in all it was not horrible just average and overpriced.

    • Group of friends

Am glad this hotel has airport transportation services, which was great 'cuz transfering from the airport to the hotel by trains take >2 hours, while taking the shuttle is only 1hour. We didn't know about it until we got to the hotel. Hotel is a bit far from the train station (about 10min walk), and it's doesn' t seem safe to walk at night. So, we'd suggest to travel in the day time, or cab back to the hotel at night.

Room & elevator is small as usual, so there's nothing to complain. Hotel staff is nice and helpful.

    • Family with children
      3.8

There is nothing to like about this hotel - you only stay there for budget reasons and the hotel makes its best to constantly remind you just that. Still. It's in Paris and you only have to sleep there.

There is no parking possibility whatsoever!! You have to leave your car on the street (if you can find place, that is,which is impossible) at the risk of been fined or the car being stollen. If you are traveling by car - forget this hotel! Further, I booked a triple room, which was more like a bathroom in size with three beds sqweesed in - there was literally no place to step on the floor. This was the smallest room I've ever seen. Oh, and the the WiFi was not working.
